Malavika Mohanan opens up about debuting with Ishaan Khatter in 'Beyond The Clouds'

Malavika Mohanan and Ishaan Khatter will be sharing the screen in Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’. Despite being a talented actress in the Malayalam film industry, Malavika is somehow not getting the much-deserved attention for her film. Ishaan Khatter, on the other hand, has become the talk of the town as he left the audience extremely impressed by his looks and acting prowess which was witnessed in snippets of his debut movie’s trailer. When Malavika was asked about getting less attention as compared to Ishaan she reportedly said that since Ishaan has an identity of being Shahid Kapoor’s brother, it is obvious that he will get the attention. Emphasising on his family background and his collaboration with Karan Johar in ‘Dhadak’, Malavika also claimed that the attention he gets is justified. Malavika has had a successful career in Mollywood, yet she considers herself as a newbie in the Hindi film industry. Speaking on setting foot in Bollywoodfor the first time, she revealed how the audience will only know more about her and her talent once ‘Beyond The Clouds’ releases. Without paying much heed to the limelight being focussed on Ishaan entirely, Malavika optimistically added how Ishaan’s popularity is helping the movie. Talking along the lines of getting a Bollywood debut in a rather off-beat film, Malavika said how it’s not really important to have a big banner attached to your back all the time. She believes to do things as per her liking and not succumb to industry pressures which will eventually result in failures. ‘Beyond The Clouds’ is slated to release on April 20, 2018.
