'Love Per Square Foot' to enjoy digital worldwide release

Romantic comedy Love Per Square Foot is breaking new grounds. Producer Ronnie Screwvala's upcoming venture will be the first Hindi film to release worldwide digitally, reaching 190 countries simultaneously. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar in lead roles, the Anand Tiwari-directorial revolves around a guy and a girl, who enter into a marriage of convenience to buy a house in Mumbai, the city of their dreams. Commenting on the changing landscape of cinema, Ronnie, who is producing the film under his banner RSVP, says, "How, where and when great stories are watched is changing everyday — younger audiences choose their mediums. We love to disrupt and innovate in this space and this is a first-of-its-kind step for South Asia. We are thrilled to collaborate with Still and Still Moving Pictures (SSMP) on this one and break new ground by reaching film-lovers around the world directly with Netflix." Going by their successful working relationship, it's no surprise that the two production houses are joining hands on two more feature films, one to be directed by Anand and the other by Amritpal Singh Bindra, the founder of SSMP.

Anand enthuses, "I couldn't have asked for a better directorial debut. Love Per Square Foot is a very special film to us and together with creative powerhouses, we look forward to reaching out to a wider audience on a global scale." Amritpal Singh Bindra sums up, saying, "We're incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity for this kind of collaboration, while also enjoying the privilege of it being the first original film to be released digitally from India. We're looking forward to continuing this thriving relationship on our two upcoming projects."
