Parineeti Chopra shoots in Gurgaon's gated complex amidst tight security

As an apartment inside the La Lagune residential society on Gurgaon's Golf Course Road turned into a shooting set for Dibakar Banejree's upcoming film, the otherwise quiet weekend mornings at this gated residential complex saw a flurry of activity this time. 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar', starring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor, is set in Delhi and Gurgaon and is being shot in both the cities. Arjun plays a Haryanvi cop in the movie while Parineeti plays a corporate employee living in Delhi.

On Sunday, Parineeti shot an indoor scene at this society in Sector 54 for a couple of hours. Before that, the crew shot in the same house with a child actor. The crew had taken precautions to avoid Parineeti being mobbed by fans by ensuring that the actress only stepped out of her vehicle once inside the gated society. A PCR van from Sector 53 Police Station was also stationed outside the society gate. The society's security guards were asked to be extra vigilant as well. "Humko bola hai ki kisi baahar wale ko nahi aane dena. Waise bhi guests register mein entry karke andar jaate hain, par aaj zyada strict hai," said a guard. In fact, even inside the society, selfie-seekers and curious onlookers were disappointed when they couldn't catch a glimpse of the actress. "People knew that Parineeti was here but most of them couldn't even get to see her. Some of the youngsters wanted selfies and autographs but couldn't get any," said a resident.
A nearby government school served as the crew's base for the shoot. "The crew asked us if they could use our grounds for catering and stay for one day and we said we have no problem. It is a weekend, so it does not disturb the kids too," a teacher from the school told us. Talking about why they chose the school as their base, a crew member told us, "We wanted to set up base somewhere close to the location but also stay under the radar so that a crowd doesn't gather here. The school was ideal for us." Even though the shooting in the society was for just a day, the crew plans to stay in the Millennium City for some time. Sources say that the Arjun and Parineeti will be shooting in Gurgaon over the next one month with some outdoor shoots planned as well.
