A love story for the millennial couples

It's not everyday that you watch a love story you can relate to. However, the trailer of Kalki Koechlin and Sumeet Vyas' 'Ribbon' promises to make you exclaim, 'Hey! That seems like us!' The film, written and directed by debutante Rakhee Sandilya, is all about sticking together through life's knotty turns and loose ends. The promo, highlighting the key aspects of a funny, poignant and painfully relatable love story, has got the thumbs up on social media. Marketed and syndicated by Shiladitya Bora, the dramedy is set in Mumbai and follows the life of a madly-in-love couple, who deals with an unplanned pregnancy and the havoc that ensues. The movie has been produced by Prakash Mondal and Swathi Mondal. Rakhee says, "Most romantic comedies focus on the boy-meets-girl concept, but my film deals with what happens after that. While the movie adds yet another distinct narrative to Kalki's repertoire, for Sumeet, it's his first film after a hit stint on the web. Kalki says, "It's a special film because it deals with issues that I am passionate about. It's a contemporary take on love that will strike a chord with millennial couples."
