Anil Kapoor goes grey for 'Fanney Khan'

Anil Kapoor in 'Fanney Khan'
Anil Kapoor, who has never shied away from reinventing himself on screen, will be seen playing the title role in 'Fanney Khan', backed by KriArj Entertainment (founded by Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor) and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. While AK's new salt-and-pepper look has intrigued everyone, few know that it took close to 50 hours to finalise it.
The actor, who has impressed both critics and audiences with films like 'Welcome Back', 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and 'Mubarakan' in recent times, plays an aspiring musician in his next and spared no effort to get his look right. Apart from having creative discussions with the makers of the film, he also visited a popular salon for five days consecutively, spending over 10 hours a day there, to get a suitable hairstyle. Since Anil plays a lovably flawed and rough-around-the- edges character, he was required to become lean. Despite a recent ankle injury, he changed his workout regimen, and in four weeks, achieved the desired results. Producer Prernaa Arora says, "Anil's character celebrates the extraordinary in the ordinary and so, looking the part was crucial. He pulled it off beautifully and continues to inspire all of us with his enthusiasm and dedication."
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, who has also produced the movie, adds, "Anil Kapoor is an actor par excellence. His passion and love for films is evident from the amount of time he has invested just to get his look right." Arjun N Kapoor sums up, "Observing the lengths to which Anil sir has gone to get his look right, one can imagine his involvement in the film. It's encouraging for all of us."
