Producer Krishika Lulla backs unconventional entertainers

Producer Krishika Lulla of Eros International has always backed interesting subjects across genres — romcom, romance drama, slice-of-life and thriller. With hits like 'Raanjhanaa' and 'Tanu Weds Manu' franchise to her credit, she's hopeful that her Friday release, 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, will entertain the audience with its unconventional subject. She was fascinated with director RS Prasanna's Tamil film, 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham' (2013) and decided to back its Hindi adaptation in association with Aanand L Rai. Krishika believes that the remake could redefine the genre of family entertainers while highlighting taboo topics with a dose of humour. Krishika, who has placed her faith in the film's team, says, "Content is king and I, as a producer, firmly believe the audience is ready for cinema that caters to different sensibilities. I'm confident that our film will achieve what it set out to because it comes with a heart that will find love from the audience." 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', produced by Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions, releases tomorrow.
