Khamosh! Shatrughan Sinha is back

Shatrughan Sinha in the film
Shatrughan Sinha is gearing up to make an impressive comeback to the movies as the central character in the neo-noir mystery, 'Woh Aadmi Bahut Kuchh Jaanta Tha'. Written and directed by Ahsan Hyder, and produced by Gayatri Creations Entertainment, the film features Shotgun in a character like never before. His styling has been inspired by Hollywood actors like John Wayne and Humphrey Bogart. The dialogues are replete with one-liners synonymous with the actor.
In recent years, the term noir has broadened, giving birth to a sub-genre called neo-noir. Hollywood broke into the space with the Lee Marvin's classic, 'Point Blank', Roman Polanski's 'Chinatown' and Martin Scorsese's 'Taxi Driver'. Though Bollywood had its own share of noir cinema, like Guru Dutt's 'Aar Paar', Shakti Samanta's 'Howrah Bridge' and 'China Town', not too many filmmakers have tried to dwell on the sub-genre. Ahsan Hyder's film aims to be one such rare attempt at neo-noir, which is also a tribute to filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock. Shatrughan Sinha's comeback venture is a whodunit with a unique premise and an unpredictable cast.
